UK Guide · Updated September 2026 · Reviewed by our superintendent pharmacist
Headline prices for weight-loss injections vary by £100 a month or more between providers. Here's the full 2026 price list, what's actually included, and how to compare properly.
The short answer
At WeightGone UK in Timperley, Mounjaro runs from £160 to £300/month across its six doses, and Wegovy from £100 to £250/month (injection) or £100 to £199/month (pill). Checking national online providers in September 2026, the same Mounjaro doses were commonly priced £20–£40 higher, while Wegovy sat in a similar range once you account for temporary new-patient discounts. Every WeightGone UK price already includes your face-to-face pharmacist review each month — some online-only providers price the medicine and the ongoing consultation separately. If cost, not eligibility, is what's stopping you starting, an NHS prescription costs £9.90 per item if you qualify — see our NHS vs private guide for who currently does.
"How much is Mounjaro?" and "how much is Wegovy?" are two of the most common questions we're asked at the pharmacy counter in Timperley — and neither has a single answer. Both Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide) are titrated gradually, so the dose you're on — not just the brand — drives most of the price difference. On top of that, providers bundle very different things into their headline figure: some quote medicine only and charge separately for consultations, renewals or delivery; others, like WeightGone UK, quote one all-in monthly price that already includes your face-to-face review.
This guide sets out our full 2026 price list, what we found checking other UK providers, and the questions worth asking before you commit to a monthly cost that runs for a year or more.
Every price below includes your medicine and a face-to-face pharmacist review each month you continue treatment. Live pricing is always confirmed on our treatments page.

We checked published pricing from several national online-doctor pharmacy services in early September 2026. Some of the lower figures shown are discounted new-patient introductory prices that rise at renewal — always compare the ongoing, maintenance-dose price, not just the first month.
A low headline price isn't always the full story. Ask any provider — us included — to confirm whether these are already in the monthly figure:
One more thing worth knowing: from April 2026 an updated Mounjaro KwikPen design started appearing in the UK, designed to remove ambiguity about leftover liquid in the pen — each pen delivers exactly the doses it's labelled for, no more. If you've seen claims online about an informal "extra dose" from leftover liquid in the old pens, that isn't a real saving to plan around — using a pen for more or fewer doses than prescribed isn't safe practice, and every WeightGone UK price already reflects a correctly dosed course.
If you're eligible for NHS treatment, the cost drops to the standard NHS prescription charge — £9.90 per item in England for 2026/27 (frozen from the previous year), or free in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and if you hold an exemption. The reason most people end up paying privately isn't that the NHS is expensive — it's that eligibility criteria and waiting times are restrictive. Our NHS vs private guide sets out exactly who currently qualifies for Mounjaro and Wegovy on the NHS and realistic waiting times by pathway.
In October 2025 the MHRA, supported by Northamptonshire Police, dismantled what it described as the UK's first known illicit weight-loss medicine production facility — a warehouse near Northampton making unlicensed tirzepatide and retatrutide pens, with more than 2,000 finished pens seized alongside raw ingredients and empty pen casings. Separately, the MHRA has warned about specific falsified Mounjaro KwikPen batches found in circulation, where the pen's dose knob came off during use.
Neither risk shows up on a price comparison. Before paying anyone for a weight-loss injection or tablet, check they're a genuine GPhC-registered pharmacy on the official register — WeightGone UK is registered under U-Chem Private Limited, registration number 1118728, which you can verify yourself in seconds.
WeightGone UK is a GPhC-registered pharmacy (reg. 1118728) in Timperley, Altrincham, serving Sale, Hale, Stretford, Wythenshawe and the wider Greater Manchester area. Every price you see on our treatments page is the full monthly cost — no separate consultation fee, no renewal charge — and includes an in-person weigh-in and review with the same pharmacist every month.

At WeightGone UK, Mounjaro (tirzepatide) runs from £160/month at the 2.5mg starting dose up to £300/month at the top 15mg dose, with every price including a face-to-face pharmacist review. Across the wider UK market, online providers we checked in September 2026 — including Boots, LloydsPharmacy and Superdrug's online doctor services — were pricing the same doses from around £179 up to £339/month, so the same pen can cost £20–£40 more elsewhere depending on dose. Prices change often across the market, so always check a provider's live pricing before comparing.
At WeightGone UK, the Wegovy injection ranges from £100/month at 0.25mg to £225/month at the 2.4mg maintenance dose, with the new 7.2mg high dose at £250/month. The Wegovy pill runs from £100/month at 1.5mg to £199/month at the 25mg maintenance dose. Across the market, we saw injection prices from roughly £99 to £300/month and pill prices from around £79 to £199/month depending on provider and whether an introductory new-patient discount applied.
Three main reasons: dose (higher doses cost more because they use more active drug), what's bundled in (some headline prices are medicine only, with consultation, delivery or renewal fees — commonly £20–£65/month — added separately), and whether a price is an ongoing figure or a temporary new-patient discount that rises at renewal. Always compare the total monthly cost at your actual maintenance dose, not the cheapest headline figure.
Not automatically — but it isn't more expensive either. WeightGone UK's Timperley pharmacy prices sit at or below the ranges we found from national online-only providers at almost every Mounjaro dose, and in the same range for Wegovy, while adding something most online-only services don't: an in-person consultation and a monthly face-to-face weigh-in and review with the same pharmacist, at no extra cost.
No. Every price on our treatments page includes the medicine, your initial face-to-face assessment, and a face-to-face review each month you continue treatment, where your pharmacist checks progress, side effects and dose. There's no separate consultation fee, no renewal charge and no hidden delivery cost — you collect from, or are seen at, the pharmacy in Timperley.
If you're eligible and prescribed via the NHS, you pay only the standard prescription charge — £9.90 per item in England for 2026/27, frozen from the previous year, or free in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and if you're exempt. The catch is eligibility and waiting times: NHS access runs through specific criteria and pathways, not a simple request. Our full breakdown of who currently qualifies and realistic waits is in our NHS vs private guide.
Not necessarily, and this matters more than the price difference. In 2025 the MHRA dismantled the UK's first known illicit weight-loss medicine production facility, near Northampton, seizing thousands of unlicensed pens, and separately warned about a specific falsified Mounjaro KwikPen batch found in circulation. Before paying anyone for a weight-loss injection, check they're a GPhC-registered pharmacy on the official register — a genuine registration number is not proof against every risk, but an unregistered seller is a guaranteed one.
Usually yes, in both directions — doses are titrated up gradually for safety and effectiveness, and each step typically costs more per month as it uses more active drug. The exception is the new Wegovy 7.2mg high dose, currently priced as a launch offer that doesn't scale linearly from 2.4mg. Ask your pharmacist to map out the expected cost at each step of your specific plan before you start, so there are no surprises at your monthly review.
