Our standards & how we keep you safe
Your safety comes before everything else we do. As a registered pharmacy, we work to the standards set by our regulator and follow the same evidence-based guidance as the NHS. Here's exactly how that works in practice.
Registered & regulated
- WeightGone UK is a trading name of U-Chem Private Limited, a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- GPhC registration number: 1118728 — you can verify us on the GPhC register.
- Superintendent Pharmacist: Muhammad Adnan.
- Every medicine we supply is licensed for UK use by the MHRA.
How we keep treatment safe
- A face-to-face assessment with a pharmacist before any treatment is supplied.
- We check your medical history and current medicines for anything that affects safety.
- We use the licensed, gradual dosing schedule — and verify dose evidence before continuing a higher dose if you're switching from another provider.
- An in-person review at least once a month to track progress and manage side effects.
- If treatment isn't right for you, we'll tell you and discuss the alternatives.
What we will do
- ✓Assess you face-to-face before supplying any treatment
- ✓Explain the benefits, risks and side effects honestly
- ✓Only supply treatment when it's clinically appropriate for you
- ✓Use licensed medicines at their approved doses
- ✓Review you in person at least once a month
- ✓Share information with your GP where it's needed for your safety (with your consent)
What we won't do
- ✕Supply treatment without a proper assessment
- ✕Pressure you into treatment that isn't right for you
- ✕Supply to under-18s for general weight loss
- ✕Encourage unsupervised microdosing or dose-splitting
- ✕Make claims we can't stand behind
Your privacy & confidentiality
Your consultations and records are confidential and handled in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR). We only share your information with your consent — for example with your GP for your safety. See our privacy policy for full details.
