Weight-loss calculator: trial averages at your weight

Enter your weight to see what the published clinical-trial averages for Mounjaro, the Wegovy injection and the Wegovy pill would represent for someone your size. This is an illustration of trial data, not a prediction or promise — individual results vary widely. Nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere.

Where these numbers come from

Every figure in this calculator comes from the published phase 3 clinical trials behind each medicine's licence: SURMOUNT-1 for Mounjaro, STEP 1 and STEP UP for the Wegovy injection (2.4mg and 7.2mg respectively), and OASIS 4 for the Wegovy pill. We deliberately show long-horizon averages rather than best cases — a pharmacy should set honest expectations, not sell dreams. If you're in Timperley, Altrincham, Sale or anywhere in Greater Manchester, our pharmacist will talk these numbers through with you face-to-face and track your real progress every month.

Calculator FAQs

No. It shows what the published clinical-trial averages would represent at your weight, purely as an illustration. Trial participants followed a reduced-calorie diet and increased activity alongside treatment, and individual results varied widely — some lost more than the average, some less, and some did not respond. Your own progress is tracked at monthly face-to-face reviews.

On trial averages, Mounjaro at higher doses (~20% over 72 weeks) and the new Wegovy 7.2mg high dose (20.7% over 72 weeks) sit at the top, with the Wegovy pill (~17%) and Wegovy 2.4mg (~15%) close behind. But these come from separate trials of different lengths, so they are not direct head-to-head comparisons — and the best treatment for you is the one that fits your health and routine.

The trial averages shown here were measured after 64–72 weeks — well over a year. Weight loss is gradual: doses titrate up monthly, appetite effects build, and most people see steady rather than dramatic change. Anyone promising fast results is not being honest with you.

Research shows many people regain some weight after stopping treatment, which is why these are long-term weight-management medicines and why lifestyle change alongside them matters so much. Your pharmacist plans maintenance or a supported exit with you — nobody should simply stop unsupervised.
